The Red Sea Project

In early 2023, Jasmin traveled to the Red Sea to document the region's diverse marine biodiversity. This body of work culminated in an award-winning exhibition at the Institute of Photography, where her piece, Shallow Stare, won the Macro Category. The work was judged and recognized by world-renowned underwater photographer Alex Tattersall, highlighting Jasmin's technical precision and unique perspective on marine life.

This expedition served as an intensive residency in advanced underwater imaging. Under the mentorship of renowned marine photographers Aaron Saunders and Gina Goodman, Jasmin refined her technical mastery of specialized camera systems and lighting. Beyond the technical, the trip integrated a conservation focus through a collaborative initiative with global university sponsors. This project highlighted the role of photo-identification in tracking turtle migration and health, solidifying Jasmin's commitment to using photography as a tool for marine advocacy.
